Heartbest provides Zero-Cholesterol Spreads

Typical daily nutrition consists of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, in the form of butter, spreads, milk, and other food products. However, these increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Thus, startups develop low-cholesterol alternatives to these foods, making them more nutritious and heart-friendly.

Mexican startup Heartbest offers zero cholesterol spreads. The startup’s product, Heartbeat Spread Natural, is a plant-based spread suitable for daily eating requirements. It does not contain gluten, other allergens, and genetically modified organisms (GMO). It also contains high levels of vitamin A and contains zero cholesterol and uses pea and amaranth protein as a nutritious addition. The startup also produces other products, including grated cheese and chocolate spreads, as low cholesterol alternatives to fatty spreads and butter.

OmniFoods offers Low-Cholesterol Pork Alternatives

Red meat contains high amounts of LDL cholesterol, contributing to the risk of cardiac arrest and stroke. Even though avoiding these foods reduces the risk of cardiovascular ailments, it is difficult to quit foods that are part of one’s diet. Thus, startups develop plant-based alternatives to red meat that significantly lower cholesterol accumulation in the body.

Chinese startup OmniFoods develops low cholesterol pork alternatives. The startup provides a line of three products, which are low in cholesterol and do not contain added hormones or antibiotics. The startup’s products provide consumers with heart-friendly alternatives to pork.

TiNDLE delivers Plant-based Chicken

Vegan diets are becoming popular due to concerns about animal cruelty, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and resource-intensive farming practices. However, animal meat remains an effective source of necessary protein. To shift away from animal-based diets, startups develop plant-based meat solutions. Besides being environmentally friendly, these products significantly reduce the consumption of cholesterol by consumers, while providing the necessary proteins.

TiNDLE is a Singaporean startup that designs plant-based chicken. It uses a proprietary ingredient Lipi, a blend of plant-based fat and flavor. Lipi contains zero cholesterol and does not use GMO ingredients. Moreover, it utilizes less land and water and also produces lower GHG emissions than standard poultry production.

RawNH Organics manufactures Zero-Cholesterol Cooking Oil

Oil is an essential food ingredient but is becoming a cause of concern due to its negative impact on body functioning, particularly the greater risk of contracting cardiovascular diseases. Thus, using cold press processes, food tech startups develop healthier alternatives to cooking oil that greatly reduce the level of cholesterol intake.

Indian startup RawNH Organics provides zero cholesterol oils. The startup’s cold-pressed safflower oil is rich in vitamins E and K. It is a zero cholesterol, zero trans-fat, and zero-sodium product that does not contain any additional chemicals or preservatives. The oil is suitable for use in cooking and in garnishing salads as well as for skincare routines and massages. The startup also provides other health-positive oils, including coconut and groundnut oil.

avocadomilk engineers Avocado-based Milk

Dairy products, such as milk and milk derivatives, contribute to body cholesterol. However, these products also provide the body with essential nutrients and minerals that promote healthy functioning. As a result, startups develop plant-based milk, such as soy and almond milk, that contains low levels of cholesterol.

New Zealand-based startup avocadomilk develops avocado-based milk. The startup’s product, avocadomilk, is available in two variants, chocolate and regular. The product is also zero-cholesterol, non-GMO, and preservative-free. It provides the benefits of milk without the risk of cholesterol-rich products. The startup further improves sustainability by using rainwater for irrigation systems and recycled plastic bottles.
