Which startups develop the other 143 solutions?

SKULLY Technologies – Enhanced Driver Safety & Experience

The number of people losing their lives due to road accidents is already quite high and continues to rise, worldwide. Most of these accidents are caused by distracted drivers. Startups are developing augmented reality-based solutions that restrict the number of ways in which a driver can take their eyes off the road. AR-based Heads Up Displays (HUDs) limit the attention of drivers from their dashboards to their windshields by providing the required information on the windshield.

The US-based startup SKULLY Technologies develops a product called SKULLY FENIX AR, a HUD for motorcyclists. It integrates with smart helmets and displays all the information such as navigation, phone calls, and driving data that eliminates the need for the rider to take their eyes off the road.

Lynx – Industrial Training

Automotive manufacturers face a difficult task when it comes to training employees and technicians. It is a challenge for manufacturers to create a real situation in production or assembly lines for their employees to practice. Startups are working on solutions based on AR that give employees the feeling of a real environment without creating any disturbance in the production process. This promotes safer and more effective employee training.

French startup Lynx develops the Lynx Headset that assists automotive manufacturers in training employees and conducting reviews of the design of products. Coupling this technology with AI and computer vision, manufacturers can create simulated environments around their existing infrastructure and products to enhance the effectiveness of employee training.

OutrealXR – Automotive Retail

Automotive dealers find it cumbersome to retain customers when they run short on inventory. AR-based applications solve these challenges by providing a simulation of cars that are not present in the showrooms. These applications also assist in improved customer experience by allowing the car owners to customize their cars.

The Arab startup OutrealXR builds applications based on AR that create showrooms for the customers of car dealers and manufacturers. These AR showrooms give a digital shopping experience to the customers right in their homes thus eliminating the need of going to an actual showroom before buying.

Digital Agents Interactive – Repair & Maintenance

Service and repair time of automotive often gets stretched due to the absence of a specialist to attend to the vehicles at the time of maintenance. Startups are working on AR-based solutions to ease the complications encountered by a technician during maintenance. These solutions also facilitate remote assistance by the automotive manufacturers when a vehicle breaks down.

Indian startup Digital Agents Interactive provides an AR-based solution called MechanicPro for repair and maintenance. The MechanicPro suite consists of two applications, DetectPro and RepairPro, that assist in detecting and repairing by coupling AR with 3D technology. These applications provide specialist assistance to technicians working in remote areas.
