Waste To Energy Generating utilizes Low-potential Waste Heat

Founding Year: 2016
Location: Toronto, Canada
Innovate with Waste To Energy Generating for Clean Energy

Canadian startup Waste To Energy Generating creates thermodynamic cycle technology to generate electricity and for cooling. The technology uses low-potential waste heat energy ranging from 50 to 200 degrees and has a capacity of up to 1.5kW. The device consists of a low potential heat energy generator, evaporator, expander, absorber, and a pump with its operation controlled by a panel with telemetry devices. This enables steel, geothermal, and oil and gas plant operators to reclaim waste heat and reduce cooling costs.

InRim provides Feedstock Pyrolysis

Founding Year: 2016
Location: Nedlands, Australia
Collaborate with InRim for High-quality Synthetic Diesel

Australian startup InRim thermally decomposes organic wastes using pyrolysis. The startup’s technology supports a range of feedstock, including bio-waste, refuse-derived fuel, and end-of-life vehicle plastics. The resulting synthesis gas has a low greenhouse gas footprint due to low levels of oxidation. Through InRim’s technology, waste generators are able to transform low-value byproducts into high-quality synthetic diesel (EN590).

Ecobean generates a Carbon-Neutral Biofuel

Founding Year: 2018
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Use Ecobean’s Solution for Coffee Waste Recycling

Polish startup Ecobean transforms food waste into energy. The startup’s coffee logs are a carbon-neutral biofuel made from waste coffee grounds suitable for open fires, stoves, and fireplaces. The coffee logs also burn longer and produce more energy than traditional wood. Its coffee logs serve as an eco-friendly alternative to burning coal in fireplaces and stoves while facilitating the recycling of coffee waste from offices, coffee shops, and more.

BioFactory produces Bioenergy

Founding Year: 2018
Location: Frome, UK
Partner with BioFactory for Anaerobic Digestion

UK-based startup BioFactory builds a cow slurry management solution, BioFarm. It uses anaerobic digestion to accelerate the breakdown of organic material and capture the resulting biogas. BioFarm is a self-contained waste to energy system that is modular and scalable by integrating additional reactors as needed. In addition to reducing farm energy bills, the system provides benefits to soil health, promoting better nutrient uptake in crops. Moreover, it reduces the costs associated with slurry spreading.

Frontline Waste advances Thermochemical Pyrolysis

Founding Year: 2016
Location: Delray Beach, US
Work with Frontline Waste for Inorganic Waste Recovery

US-based startup Frontline Waste provides small-scale clean technology for waste recovery and biofuel production. The startup’s technology, JF System, accepts inorganic feedstock such as plastics, tires, and textiles in addition to residual biomass feedstock like agricultural products and municipal solid waste. The byproducts of their pyrolysis system are biochar, biofuel, and synthetic gas, all of which find applications in decarbonizing fossil fuel-reliant industries. The solution also features portable units suitable for on-site processing and low capital expenses.
